Faisalabad: Encounter with Police, Notorious Robber Injured and Arrested, Accomplice Escapes

A police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station in Faisalabad, resulting in the arrest of an injured robber, while his accomplice managed to escape.

According to police officials, the injured suspect has been identified as Zain, who is involved in eight criminal cases. The incident began after Rescue 15 received a call reporting that two robbers had snatched a 125 motorcycle, a gold ring, and cash from a citizen and fled towards Khanewana..Acting on the information, the in-charge of Makowana checkpoint, along with police personnel, was present at Khanewana Chowk when they signaled two suspicious individuals to stop. Instead, the suspects opened direct fire at the police and fled towards Makowana.Upon receiving the alert, SHO Sadar Police Station, Muhammad Ali, along with additional force, reached the scene. The suspects continued firing at the police, prompting the police to retaliate in self-defense.After the exchange of fire stopped, police found suspect Zain lying injured, reportedly hit by his own accomplice’s firing, while the second suspect escaped under the cover of darkness.Police recovered the snatched motorcycle, cash, a gold ring, and a pistol from the arrested suspect. The injured accused was shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
